"When that doesn't happen," Michael adds, "the consequences can be devastating. We saw poor limb shapes, frustrating patients, people falling through the cracks. These patient relationships were lost, and so were our opportunities to collaborate with their ordering physicians."
Early intervention through post-op limb protections benefits everyone. Patients reduce the risk of limb injury while helping the residual limb to reduce volume and stabilize its pre-fitting shape.
